Long weekends on the farm tend to unfold at a wonderfully unhurried pace.
We like to begin with lazy lie-ins, followed by strong coffee and toasted hot cross buns, generously drizzled with organic honey from the farm. A bubble bath or sauna session usually sneaks in, too.
If the sun decides to join us, you’ll likely find us stretched out beside the pool with a good book or a quiet game of chess. A chilled glass of rosé usually appears not long after, followed by an easy dinner out on the patio as the evening settles in.
April evenings can have a little nip in the air, and when they do, we retreat to the cosy library nook to get lost in a good novel or one of our wood-fired hot tubs. The fires are then lit, and the red wine is poured. Stories tend to stretch long into the evening.
For those feeling playful, the farm offers plenty of space (and excellent hiding spots) for a proper Easter egg hunt – a tradition we quietly encourage.
A long weekend here is all about slow moments, good company, and that rare feeling of warmth and home.
We do hope you’ll join us.
